Just when you think you are going to get a response from the Betfair customer service respresentative you are chatting with, you are pushed away and told to check out the website for the information you want. It’s frustrating, to say the least. It's not really bad customer service. It's no customer service at all. Everything they do is designed to get you to stop bothering them. We have no idea who put these obstructionists in positions of responsibility for customer service. They quite simply don't provide it. That said, they are not rude or nasty. They simply provide you with no help at all.

They are very rude. They turn up, they tell you to go take a look at the site, and they disappear forever. It’s a really weird system.

No. No bonus is given in chat. Nothing at all in provided in chat from Betfair.com. They really don’t have a clue what they are doing.

No. They are very slow. Twenty minutes to answer a basic question is just ridiculous and almost seemed like a prank. Not good, Betfair.

No. They are not good at their job, if one assumes their job to be customer service. If blowing people off is being good at their job, then they are fine.

We assume that their English is not very good. This is based on the fact that they kept telling us to check out the website.

It starts quickly but then you realize that you are only talking to a bot. It takes a good deal of time to get a real person.

Some casinos have aggressively bad customer service, but that’s not the only way customer service can fail. Instead, it can just flat out ghost you on the regular. That’s what we got from the Betfair customer service department.

We have no idea if they simply aren’t trained or it just was a bad day. They would respond to us and then just go tell us to look at the site. They never provided us with any help at all. It’s like not having a customer service department.

They weren’t nasty, but we are baffled by their customer service. It’s unclear if perhaps by some misdirection we were not chatting with the customer service staff. That would explain why they simply weren’t helpful to us at all.

Are they polite?

When you first click on Live Chat, you get an instant response. However, it became clear that these were automated responses. Once we got through the automated responses it then took several minutes for a real person to show up. So technically, yes; it starts quickly, but that's just because there are bots running it.

They don't give you information in chat. Why would they give you bonuses? They just turn up and refuse to help you and then leave. So no, no bonuses. That said no casino really gives bonuses in chat anymore so we can't take away too much credit from them for refusing to help us out.

Are they fast?

Well, one time we had a question and the representative told us that he was busy and that it would take him 20 minutes to get back to us. When we said that we needed the answer now, he simply said he’ll be back in 20 minutes. So, no, they are not fast. At all. I mean, wow.

Are they good at their job?

They would have to be actually doing their job to be any good at it. As it is they seem to think customer service is simply telling the customer to look at the site. They don't do their job at all. We can only think that this is what they have been trained to do because any supervision would put a stop to it.

We have to say that we don't think so. It appeared to us that perhaps they didn't understand our questions and that's why they kept telling us to go back to the site and find the information there. Also, they never used a space after a comma, which is basic grammar no matter your language.

Does the chat start quickly?

The chat loaded up very quickly. In no time at all we were connected to a customer service person. So much better than the chats that take three or four minutes to load up.
